In writing a little tragedy, 'The Gaol Gate,' I made the scenario in three lines, 'He is an informer; he is dead; he is hanged.' I wrote that play very quickly.
I have a very, very good memory, and I always remember the people who have done right by me and the people who have done wrong by me.
I played the best role I've ever seen on TV or film in the last five years. It was hugely gratifying.
